| Route Description: |
Route Type: The route changes in 2010 in the interests of a safer ride. All three events start together at the Durbanville Race Course. The first leg is the easy ride out on Race Course Road which becomes Tygerberg Road. Enjoy this stretch as you drift comfortably down over Tiekiedraai from the Bellville side. The right turn at Contermanskloof Road is surrounded by the splendour of the famous Durbanville wineries. There is a four-way stop at Vissershok Road, here those taking the shorter 31-kilometre ride continue straight on.
For those braving the two longer courses once you have taken the right turn at the intersection, there is the great challenge of the infamous Vissershok Hills as you grind your way back to Durbanville. The race then takes you through the residential areas before you hit Wellington Road, where the longer route turns right onto the R312.
For those doing the 61-kilometre route, it is a left turn just before the silos and then the home stretch on Adderley Road. For the long ride, you go out to the R44 and back to the silos via Paarderberg Road before heading for an undulating finish in Adderley Road.
